Stranger Things Funko Pops: Steve Harrington vs. Nancy Wheeler

Quick answer

Choose Steve Harrington #1779 if you want a character-focused piece that anchors a Season 5 display; choose Nancy Wheeler with Shotgun #1802 if you prefer an action-ready look. Both are $9.99 (compared to $19.99), so the decision comes down to which character story you want on your shelf.

What separates these two Stranger Things Pops

Steve Harrington #1779 is listed as a Season 5 figure, which makes it a natural fit for collectors building a forward-looking Stranger Things shelf. Nancy Wheeler #1802 is categorized under Funko Pop! Television and includes her shotgun, giving the figure a more action-oriented silhouette. Neither listing includes optional variants or exclusive stickers, so you are choosing between two standard retail figures at the same price.

Because both share the same $9.99 price and $19.99 comparison price, there is no cost trade-off. The real difference is display intent: Steve leans toward character-focused collecting, while Nancy leans toward scene or action-themed setups.

The trade-off: character focus vs. action pose

Steve #1779 works best when your shelf is organized by character arcs or seasons. It is a straightforward, display-ready piece that fits alongside other Stranger Things characters without needing a prop or scene context. The trade-off is that it does not offer the visual drama of an action accessory.

Nancy #1802 brings the shotgun, which can make a shelf feel more dynamic and story-driven. The trade-off is that it may feel out of place in a calm, character-only lineup. If you like mixing poses and props, Nancy adds variety; if you prefer uniform, neutral displays, Steve is the cleaner choice.

Collector context and gift appeal

Both figures are described as collector-friendly and suitable for gift buyers, so neither is a better gift on paper. The decision for a gift comes down to the recipient's favorite character. Steve is a fan-favorite for his role across seasons, while Nancy is central to the show's mystery and action plots. If you are unsure, Steve #1779 is the safer character-first pick for a general Stranger Things fan; Nancy #1802 is the stronger pick for someone who specifically enjoys the show's investigative, action-heavy side.

Trade-offs to weigh before you buy

• Season 5 focus: Steve #1779 is explicitly tied to Season 5, so it fits a shelf organized by season or a collection that follows the show's latest arc. If you are not collecting Season 5 specifically, the label may matter less. Check whether your shelf has a season theme before committing.
• Action accessory: Nancy #1802 includes a shotgun, which adds visual interest but can dominate a minimal display. Pair it with other action-oriented figures if you want a cohesive look. Plan the surrounding figures if you choose Nancy, so the prop does not look isolated.
• Price parity: Both figures are listed at $9.99 with a $19.99 comparison price, so budget does not decide this comparison. Pick based on character preference and display style instead. Use the savings to add a second figure rather than choosing based on price.
